The 300-350 Show: Dr Pachauri on livestock and climate change

Dr. Pachauri and Al Gore were joint Nobel Peace Prize Winner. Dr. Pachauri is Chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In a report by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation showed that beef and dairy farming was responsible for a massive 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions - more than the entire global transport sector. In this speech Dr. Pachauri avocates eating less meat to reduce climate change.
On 17th July 2008, former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore gave a landmark speech in which he raised the bar on the political response required to solve, not only climate change, but also resource wars and rising energy prices. Gore's challenge is for US to commit to renewable and clean energy sources within ten years.
